Central China Liberated Area was founded from the foundation of su-wan border Area under the leadership of former Central China Sub-Bureau of CCCPC in 1947.
In the later half of 1947,the national war of liberation had entered the phase of counterattack.On 10th November,the CCCPC resolved that the CPC Central China Work committee,Central China Administration office and central China Headquartes be established.At the same time,Central China Directorate General of postal Communications was also set up.On 28th November,it was renamed central china postal Administration Bureaus.
In May,1948,Huainan Area and Huaibei Area merged. Jianghuai Postal Administration Bureau was formed .On 26th November,1948.Central China postal Administration Bureau was renamed Central China Postal and Telecommunication Administration Bureau.All Sub-District Postal Administration Bureaus were also renamed Postal & Telecommunication Sub-Bureaus,nevertheless the Post offices of the counties remained unchanged.At that time,Subei Area there existed the Central China 1st,2nd,5th 6th and 9th Postal Administration Sub-Bureaus.
As from 1st May,1949,Central China Postal & Telecommunication Administration Bureau renamed as Subei Postal & Telecommunication Administration Bureau ; Central China 1st Postal & Telecommunications Administration Sub-Bureau as Taizhou Postal & Telecommunications Administration Sub-Bureau; Central China 2nd Postal &Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus,as YangZhou Postal& Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus; Central China 5nd Postal & Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus as Yeting(Later changed to yancheng)Postal& Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus; Central China 6nd Postal& Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus as huaiyin Postal & Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus; Central China 9nd Postal& Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus as Nantong Postal& Telecommunication Administration Sub-Bureaus.Jianghuai Postal & Telecommunications Administration Bureau was put under the jurisdiction of Anhuai.
